Global Tie Ups

The collaboration with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, has opened the doors to new academic programs for UGI’s bright souls. Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT, Bangkok, visited UGI campuses and shed some light on AIT’s endavours towards UGI’s educational and technical enhancements. He gave nice tips to the Unitedians to make smart education choices. Under the Students-Faculty & Technology-Exchange-Program, a group of 36 persons (2 faculty members and 34 students) visited AIT campus which really was an unforgettable memory for Unitedians. From 22nd June to 7th July 2011, the students from UCER, UIM, UIT, UCEM, UIP, UIM-FUGS, Allahabad and from USB, UCER and UIM, Greater Noida visited AIT campus in Bangkok. This was an event under International Cultural & Educational Programme, UGI, Gr. Noida and Allahabad (India) and Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (Thailand). The students visited Western Digital and NASDAC (Research Dept. of Thailand), NECTEC and SOLARTE.
They also attended a seminar on Disaster Management, Robotics, Nano Technology and Information Security. Various sessions by Prof. Mathew Daily, Dr. Manukid, Dr. Nitin Afzulpurkar, Dr. Nitin Tripathi were taken up for the students. All the unitedians also enjoyed sights of Pataya Beach, Golden Teakwood Palace and Safari World as a part of Educational & Cultural tour arranged by AIT. The objectives of Summer Training, Knowledge Enhancement and Value-Addition were attained through intercultural exchange by close interaction with the individuals of different Nationality.
